The Shaker Heights IT Department is comprised of two teams with members who provide a variety of technology-related support services to District students, faculty, and staff:
- The Technology Services team provides support for all District desktop, portable, and server hardware, wired and wireless network infrastructure, as well as help desk.
- The Data Services team supports the District's core data systems including the student information system (ProgressBook Suite) and online student registration system. In addition, the Data Services team coordinates District assessments, ensures the District meets all state EMIS reporting requirements and provides ad-hoc data reports.
The work of the IT Department is guided by a five-year technology plan. Beginning in the first semester of the 2019-2020 school year, work will begin to draft an updated technology plan which will provide guidance for the next five years.
