The English Language Learners (ELL) Department at Boulevard School provides English language instruction to students whose mother-tongue language is not English. The program includes students from all over the world including the United States.
The English Language Learners program provides a nurturing and non-threatening environment for all language learners to develop and practice their language skills in a small group. Beginning with a formal assessment, the ELL program addresses each student's individual needs while simultaneously supporting the content learning which takes place in all of their classes.
ELL students are taught using a variety of research-based methods and strategies. English lanuage instruction focuses on the four domains of lanuage including speaking, reading, writing and listening. English language instruction provides students with the vital communication skills needed to be academically successful in the classroom. It also provides them with the essential language skills needed to allow them to socially integrate in the school community.
Our ELL teachers would be happy to talk with you about the program. You may call their classroom at 216-295-4951, or email Mrs. Jill Lasheen at [email protected] or Mrs. Monica Triozzi at [email protected]
