Episode One: Dr. Glasner

Episode Two: Holly Coughlin

In today’s episode of Equity Unscripted, Shaker Schools Foundation Executive Director Holly Coughlin joins the District’s DEI Executive Director Dr. JeffriAnne Wilder to discuss the Foundation’s support of the District’s equity work. This year, the Foundation’s Board of Directors allocated $50,000 to begin the Educational Equity Fund, which will be officially launched this coming Saturday, March 6 at A Night for the Red & White. Ms. Coughlin shares information about specific Foundation-supported programs at all grade levels, the synergies between the Foundation and DEI work and how you can support the mission of the Shaker Schools Foundation. Episode Three: Tiara Sargeant

This week, Dr. Wilder's Equity Unscripted welcomes Shaker Heights High School SGORR Advisor Tiara Sargeant! Ms. Sargeant shares about her experiences as a Shaker student, how she became passionate about race relations as a High School student, why she chose to attend the HBCU Hampton University and her vision for SGORR moving forward. Episode Four: Erica Merritt

In today’s episode of Equity Unscripted, Dr. JeffriAnne Wilder talks with Equius Group Founder Erica Merritt about Ms. Merritt’s work in diversity, equity and inclusion, how the events of the past year have shaped the landscape on racial equity, why corporate diversity officers should hold a C-level title and what her vision is for equity in Northeast Ohio. During the 2019-2020 school year, Ms. Merritt supported and implemented our District-wide equity and inclusion efforts. Prior to that, she worked with the District on important equity initiatives beginning with the Equity Task Force and hosting Let’s Get Real workshops. Ms. Merritt has more than 15 years of experience in organizational and leadership development and her background in diversity management drives her commitment to applying an equity lens to all client work.
