The school district's strong commitment to music education has earned Shaker Heights this distinction for the sixth consecutive year.

Student Photographers Gain National Recognition
Photographs by High School students Riley Murray and Ellie Montenegro are among only 68 out of 5,000 entries nationwide to receive special recognition in the 2014 Jostens Photo Contest.

Parent Survey
The staff of Bellefaire JCB’s SAY, Social Advocates for Youth program, work together with our school to provide the best prevention and early intervention services for the students and families in our District.  However, even after many years of being active in our District, there are still families and students who are not aware of SAY and therefore do not gain the full benefit of the services offered. In an effort to raise awareness about our commitment to prevention and education through the SAY program, SAY staff would like to survey parents.  The survey has been developed to educate parents on existing services as well as to gain an understanding of other ways SAY staff can better serve our families.  The survey can be completed in less than 5 minutes and will be completely confidential.  Please click on the link below to complete the survey:  
Update on Delivery of Measuring What Matters
We've learned that many residents have not received their copy of "Measuring What Matters," a special report on many dimensions of school quality. We are working with the Postal Service to track down the undelivered copies. It is available online. Read the report.
