Fernway Receives $20,000 Library Relief Grant from Dollar General

February 7, 2020—Fernway School Principal Chris Hayward accepted a $20,000 grant this morning from the Dollar General Beyond Words Fund—a collaboration with the American Library Association (ALA), the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the National Education Association (NEA)—that provides school library disaster relief for public school libraries. The grant will be used to replace books, media and/or library equipment lost and damaged in the July 2018 Fernway fire.
