Shaker Heights High School senior Sarah Jacob has been selected as a Gates Millennium Scholar for the Class of 2016. Sarah is one of 1,000 students selected from a pool of more than 53,000 based on excellence in leadership, community service and academic achievement.
The award can be used to cover all unmet financial needs to pursue an undergraduate degree at any U.S. accredited college. The program provides leadership development opportunities, mentoring, academic and social support, as well as financial support.
Sarah is pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma at the High School. Her sister, Elizabeth Jacob, was named a 2013 Gates Millennium Scholar.
