Tiffany L. Preston has joined the staff as Executive Assistant to Superintendent Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr. She replaces Carole West, who is retiring after 13 years of service. She will manage the day-to-day operations of the Superintendent’s office, maintain schedules, and coordinate special projects.
Preston comes to the District from a similar role at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she provided administrative support to the president and vice president for nearly four years. Previously, she was a legal assistant at a Cleveland law firm.
A classically trained musician, Preston holds a bachelor’s in oboe performance, with a concentration in music-in-education, from the New England Conservatory of Music. She earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
“I enjoy working in an educational environment,” she said. “As a musician, I was particularly attracted to Shaker, a school district with strong commitment to the arts.”
