District Names Crystal Patrick Interim Director of Human Resources

October 10, 2019—The Shaker Heights City School District is pleased to announce that Crystal Patrick has been appointed to the position of Interim Director of Human Resources. The Board of Education approved her appointment today.

Ms. Patrick, a Lomond resident, is a Shaker Heights High School graduate (Class of ‘94) whose mother taught in the District. She is a seasoned human resources and business operations professional with more than 20 years of experience across several industries, including child care and medical services. Since 2017, she has served as the Director of The Community Mentorship Collaboration, a company she co-founded that provides mentoring services for those in need.

Concurrently, she also has worked as the Director of Operations/Human Resources at Allemas Kids Campus, Lullaby Infant Club and Fundale Enrichment Center. In this position, Ms. Patrick created and implemented performance management guidelines to boost productivity and performance. She also led talent management and succession planning efforts, with a focus on increasing diversity within the childcare centers.

Ms. Patrick earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Music Education from Virginia State University. She received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Patrick is the parent of a Lomond Elementary School student.
