Update On Start Of 2019-20 School Year & Feedback Sought For Proposed Calendars

As the new year begins, we understand that the District’s families and staff will be planning ahead for the summer of 2019 and for the 2019-2020 school year. To help in your planning efforts, the working start dates for the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year are August 21 for students and August 15 for staff, pending the Board’s approval in February.

We also seek your feedback on two possible calendar options for the next three academic years. We invite you to review this Stakeholder Survey, which includes the two options, and to select your preferred calendars. Survey responses will be accepted through December 27.

Responses to this survey will inform the final calendar recommendation to the Board of Education at its January 8, 2019 meeting. The Board will vote on the proposed academic calendars for 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 at the following meeting on February 12, 2018.
