August 25, 2023—City and agency crews are continuing to work on post-storm cleanup around Shaker Heights. While some neighborhoods appear to be more affected than others, we continue to urge everyone to be careful of downed power lines and storm debris.

 

The following is an update regarding scheduled school events:

 

Lomond, Fernway and Onaway Back-to-School Events: Events scheduled for this evening have been canceled. Lomond has rescheduled the Blacktop Bash to Friday, September 1. Fernway and Onaway will notify families of any new plans.

 

Woodbury Coffee on the Lawn: Originally scheduled for today, Woodbury’s Coffee on the Lawn event for parents and guardians has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 31.

 

SHHS Varsity Football vs. Brush: At the agreement of both schools and the SHPD, tonight’s football game will proceed as scheduled at 7 p.m. at Shaker Heights High School. 

 

SAT Administration: SAT testing scheduled for Saturday, August 26, at Shaker Heights High School will proceed as planned.

 

Students/families should check with coaches/sponsors regarding any other events scheduled for today.
