District Conducts Test of Temporary Stadium Lights

On Friday, August 12, 2016, the Shaker Heights City School District conducted a brief test of temporary lights at the High School Stadium. The District wants to reiterate that it has no plans for permanent lighting at the Stadium. Rather, the District was simply testing the feasibility of using temporary lights at the Stadium on a one-time, special occasion basis during future school years. We conducted the test because of the continued interest in bringing our community together for our young people under the lights for one time during the school year—either for an athletic contest or another special event. We are continuing to gather data to determine the feasibility of this option, and we will keep the community informed of our progress.
