  • Development, review, and field-testing of interview protocols
  • Recruitment and training of interviewers
  • Review and synthesis of data by consultants and graduate students; identify themes
  • Public presentation and discussion of preliminary AI findings (March 2010 - tentative)

Team composition:

Members of Board of Education, Design Team, Strategic Framework Team, staff, and community (total 10-15 members)

Scope of Work:

  • Determine similarities and differences between AI results and existing Strategic Framework
  • Derive themes and priorities
  • Establish common ground for strategic plan

Committee composition:

Superintendent and members of Board of Education, staff, parents, students, community (total 25-40 members)

Scope of Work:

  • Review Analysis Team findings and District data (i.e., achievement, progress monitoring, school climate, public opinion surveys)
  • Update, revise, and/or expand goals
  • Translate goals into performance results indicators
  • Develop action plans in consultation with staff and community members as needed
  • Present draft plan summary to Board of Education and public
  • Receive feedback and revise as necessary
  • Present plan to Board by Spring 2011

Committee composition:

Members of Board of Education, staff, parents, students, community (total 10-15)

Scope of Work:

  • Collect data in reference to performance indicators
  • Examine strengths and opportunities
  • Adjust goals and action plans
  • Report results of performance audit
  • Plan for continuing progress review at specified intervals and adjustments as needed
