Ose Arheghan, Senior
Why did you join the Superintendent's Student Advisory Committee?
I wanted to be a part of the SSAC because I wanted to have an active role in making the choices that will affect my four years at SHHS.
What are your post-high school plans?
After high school I plan to attend a 4 year university for international relations and journalism.
Describe any activities (athletics, music, theatre, youth groups, etc.) you have been involved in during your high school years – in or out of SHHS.
Through the school I am the investigations editor for The Shakerite, president of the Mock Trial Club, member of SGORR and Model Unite and a tennis player. Outside of school I am a part of an acting troupe called Know Abuse that educates teens about domestic violence.
Do you have any volunteer or community service experience? When, where and how much time did you give? How has it influenced your personal growth?
I am currently a part of the MyCom (My Community My Commitment) South Shaker neighborhood youth council and through that I participate in community service projects around the area. We meet bi-monthly and the council has sharpened my leadership skills.
Where do you see yourself in 8-10 years?
In ten years I hope to be writing articles for the United Nations News Centre, or possibly pursuing a masters degree.
