Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Human Resources is to attract, retain, and support a high-quality workforce that creates a positive impact on student performance. These HR services include:

  • Counseling
  • Hiring
  • Employee relations
  • Labor negotiations
  • New teacher/employee programs
  • Organizational structure
 
Our HR team collaborates with school principals, supervisors and staff to implement a district-wide talent management strategy, including interview practices, succession planning, performance consulting, leadership development, innovative learning strategies, career and organizational development. We select and retain only the best talent for the students of Shaker Heights.

Goals and Objectives for 2017 - 2018. We will support the District Strategic Plan by:

1. Implement recruiting plan based upon projected staffing requirements.

2. Implement retention initiatives to make a great workplace.

3. Continue to implement a Wellness Program that is relevant to our employees.
