Assistance by phone is available through the first week of August from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Regular support hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday beginning August 5.

In-Person Assistance
Families who need in-person assistance with the registration process should call our Registration Office to make an appointment.
Parents and legal guardians are welcome to drop into our Shaker Welcome Center on the 2nd floor of the Shaker Heights Main Library 9 - 11:30 a.m. or 1 - 4 p.m. to use a Chromebook to register.
Please Note: Assistance might be impacted by previously scheduled appointments.

Change of residence while enrolled
If you move to a new address at any time during your child’s enrollment in the Shaker Heights Schools, it is your responsibility to provide updated residency documentation to our Registration Office.
Welcome to the Shaker Heights Schools! Enrolling your student in the District is easy.
Please use the Student Enrollment Portal if your child is new/never attended the Shaker Heights Schools or if your child was withdrawn from the District and is now re-enrolling.

Eligibility & Residency Requirements for Registration
Parents and/or legal guardians of students must reside within the Shaker Heights City School District.
Three Proofs of Residency Are Required
Additional Required Documents
All families:
- Certified copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport.
- Complete Immunization Record for the child. NOTE: Instead of the Immunization Record, Preschool program students must have the Preschooler Physician Report completed by their pediatrician.
- Photo ID for parent or legal guardian.
- Withdrawal form from previous school, if applicable.
- Special Education/Student Services Records: Must have the Individualized Education Plan; Multi Factored Evaluation (MFE); or 504 Plan.
Divorced and Never-Married Families: Court-issued documents must be presented at the time of registration. This includes Shared Parenting and/or Child Custody Determination Documents.
Never Married Parents: If the non-custodial parent is listed on the student’s birth certificate, that parent is entitled to access to the student’s educational information.
