Sankofa Celebrates Black History with Performances Feb. 28 & 29
February 14, 2020—Mark your calendars to attend this year’s Sankofa performance, “Black Excellence,” at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28 (pre-show at 6 p.m.) and at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 29 (pre-show at noon) in the Shaker Heights High School Large Auditorium. The performance will explore and recognize Black achievement in education, entertainment, business and more. Tickets are $8 and available during all High School lunch periods and in the main office at the High School.
Each year, the Sankofa performance takes place at the end of Black History Month and showcases the talents of students through dance, song, spoken word and drama. Sankofa celebrates Black history while raising awareness of social issues in the Black community.
