Raider Field Hockey is 2019 OHSAA Division I State Championship Runner-Up
Field HockeyNovember 2, 2019—The Shaker Heights High School Varsity Field Hockey Team finished its 40th anniversary season with a record of 19-2, falling to Columbus Academy 1-0 in a heart breaker of a state championship on Saturday, November 2.

Head Coach Jen Clarke (SHHS, '92) said the entire coaching staff was so proud of the team, who came together and grew so much this season. "Through tremendous hard work and phenomenal leadership from the captains and senior class, they developed into resilient and confident female student athletes. The chemistry of this team was contagious and it overflowed into the Shaker community," Coach Clarke said. "We are extremely appreciative and thankful for the support from our amazing parents, Don Readance and the entire athletic department, Eric Juli, fellow Shaker athletes and coaches, teachers and the whole Shaker community. The friendships and memories that were created this season are what the girls, coaches and parents will remember for the rest of our lives. This team will always have a special place in my heart."
