Board Approves Resolution to Support Forward Together Vision Plan
November 19, 2019—The Shaker Heights Board of Education has approved a resolution that accepts and supports the Forward Together Vision Plan, "A Vision for Community Facilities," which was approved by the Joint Facilities Task Force on October 17 and by the City Planning Commission on November 6. Both the Library and the City have approved similar resolutions. Forward Together is a community-centered process that envisions the future of Shaker Heights as one with shared facilities among the Schools, the City and the Library.

Shaker Heights Schools Superintendent Dr. David Glasner and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Marla Robinson appeared before the Shaker Heights Public Library Board of Trustees Monday evening to discuss potential ways to collaborate with the Library and the City of Shaker Heights as a partner in the Forward Together initiative.

“We’re looking forward to working together as a dedicated partner in this initiative,” said Dr. Glasner. “We fully support an initiative that engages the entire community and stakeholders in an effort to collaborate on gathering spaces, connecting people and utilizing our City’s assets.”
