Mr. Douglas Myles to Join Lomond as Assistant Principal
June 1, 2021—The District is pleased to announce that Douglas Myles will be joining Lomond Elementary School as Assistant Principal.

Mr. Myles, in his 20th year with Shaker Heights Schools, has served as Assistant Principal at Woodbury Elementary School since 2014.

He joined the staff of Shaker Heights Middle School in 2001, where he taught eighth-grade English until 2010. He served as department chair from 2007 until 2010. In 2010, Mr. Myles was promoted to assistant principal of Shaker Heights Middle School, where he served for four years before moving to Woodbury.

Mr. Myles holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Albion College in Michigan and a master’s in educational administration from Cleveland State University.

“Mr. Myles’ thoughtful and energetic style connects with students, and we are delighted he will join the leadership team at Lomond,” said Dr. Erin Herbruck, Director of Primary Education.

Mr. Myles is replacing Ms. Tina McCauley, who accepted a principal position with the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District. Mr. Myles will start at Lomond this summer.
