January 12, 2022 – Dr. Emmitt R. Jolly was elected president of the Shaker Heights Board of Education at the Board’s meeting Tuesday, January 11. Dr. Jolly, a tenured associate professor of biology at Case Western Reserve University, succeeds Heather Weingart, who was elected vice president. Dr. Jolly was elected to the board in 2019. Weingart was re-elected to the Board in November. Two recently elected Board members, Lora Cover and Alison Bibb-Carson, were sworn in Tuesday. They succeed Lisa Cremer and Ayesha Bell Hardaway, who did not seek re-election.
