February 28, 2021—The Shaker Schools Foundation is putting the finishing touches on a very special livestream celebration in support of the Shaker Schools. We hope you'll consider joining us for this important fundraiser! The proceeds from this event support all of our students as we launch the Educational Equity Fund to carry out District-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time! Free and premium tickets are available. This event is virtual, so no need to dress up this year; you can stay comfy on your couch while you enjoy a special student showcase starting at 7:30 pm, plus pop-up visits from Shaker teachers and alumni, and a tribute to the beloved MAC Scholars founding advisors, Mary Lynne McGovern and Hubert McIntyre. You'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the outstanding programs that truly make our schools special.
Whether or not you attend, anyone can purchase Raffle Tickets for one (or both) of these amazing packages: a Peloton Original Bike (ships anywhere in the U.S.) or a Cozy Cabin Getaway (located near eight major U.S. cities). Anyone over 21 can purchase, so share the link with friends and family. Tickets are $100 each and only 200 sold per package.
The Red & White silent auction will go live on Monday, March 1 at noon and will stay open until Monday, March 8 at 5 pm. Anyone may bid on items, regardless of where you live or whether you attend the event. There are some fantastic items, including many from our teachers and principals, so be sure to check it out. Anyone who has registered for the event will receive the link and instructions this coming week on how to join the livestream event and to attend a special after-party Zoom room for Shaker neighbors and friends. You must register to receive this information - don’t miss out on the fun!
