Dear Shaker Heights Schools Families and Staff,
The District is currently developing plans for continuing onsite and online learning in the fourth quarter, which begins Monday, March 22. Our goal for the fourth quarter is to ensure that all students who wish to be onsite are able to do so, while maintaining the current onsite learning schedule.
In the coming days, the District will share additional details about fourth quarter plans. The District also will share a Fourth Quarter Onsite/Online Selection Form with families of online students to indicate whether they plan to return onsite for the fourth quarter. Responses to this form will help the District to accommodate additional onsite students.
The recent improvements in local COVID-19 data are encouraging and we are grateful that more than 800 faculty and staff members received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine earlier this week—the second dose will be administered on Tuesday, March 9.
Thank you to all of our staff, students and families for your continued adherence to our health and safety protocols. Wearing a mask, washing your hands and maintaining physical distance make a difference. As a reminder, anyone experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or residing with someone awaiting results from a COVID-19 test should stay home from school.
Your efforts and vigilance inside school and in the overall community enable us to continue onsite learning at all grade levels.
