Dr. Terri Breeden to Retire from Shaker Heights Schools
June 21, 2019—Dr. Terri Breeden, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction since September 2015, will be retiring effective June 30, 2019.

During her tenure with the Shaker Schools, Dr. Breeden oversaw the establishment of several successful initiatives, including Shaker’s First Class, an innovative preschool program, and Summer Exploration, Learning and Fun (SELF), a summer enrichment program.

“Dr. Breeden is a valued colleague who will be missed, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors,” said Superintendent David Glasner.

During her time in Shaker, Dr. Breeden has strengthened the District’s curriculum, clearly defining it and embedding it at all levels. Under her stewardship, the District has raised its graduation rate and improved its standing on the State Report Card.

“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented group of teachers and administrators,” Dr. Breeden said. “I leave knowing that the Shaker Schools have a very bright future.”
