Felecia M. Evans Named Director of School Leadership

June 10, 2022 - Felecia M. Evans will join the District as Director of School Leadership, effective July 1, 2022.  


Mrs. Evans, has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal. In her new position, she will provide leadership and support to school principals to strengthen and develop them as building and instructional leaders. The Director of School Leadership supervises all eight school principals.


Presently, Mrs. Evans is principal at Lander Elementary School in the Mayfield City School District, and has taught and held leadership positions in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights and Solon schools. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators and represents thousands of school leaders across the state. 


“Mrs. Evans is a seasoned educator who brings a wealth of experience to her new role,” said Superintendent Dr. David Glasner. “We are delighted she is joining our leadership team.”


Mrs. Evans earned a master’s degree in educational administration and a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education from the University of Akron. She completed her superintendent coursework at Ashland University, and is working on a doctorate of education in leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. Originally from Minneapolis, Mrs. Evans played Division I basketball at the University of Akron.
