Important Info for 2022-2023: New Start/End Times, Staggered Start to the School Year
To assist with planning for the 2022-2023 school year, the Shaker Heights City School District would like to make families and staff aware of adjustments to the start and end times for each school building. In addition, the District will start the new school year with a staggered start where students in different grade levels begin the year on different days. Details regarding both changes are below.

SCHOOL START & END TIMES
New school start and end times have been established for students for the 2022-2023 school year. These times were created in close collaboration with building principals and the District’s transportation department. These changes help increase instructional time for some grade bands, add collaborative planning time and allow for on-time busing to and from school. Start and end times for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

Early Childhood (PreK): Half Day AM
8:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m.
