June 21, 2022 - The North Coast Shared Services Alliances is hosting a substitute teacher job fair on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the ESC of Northeast Ohio, 6393 Oak Tree Boulevard, Independence, OH 44131. Recruiters from many local school districts will be in attendance at the event, including Shaker Heights City School District.
Substitute teacher requirements:
- a Bachelor's degree in any field
- a clean criminal background and
- three positive professional references.
The benefits of substitute teaching include a flexible schedule, competitive pay and experience in education.
Interested candidates should bring a resume for on-site interviews and, if interested in participating in on-site, for cost background checks, two forms of ID. Also recommended to have on-hand are a copy of current Substitute Teaching License, a copy of FBI and BCI background check results within the past 365 days, a voided check for payroll/direct deposit and a copy of official transcripts.
