Dear Shaker Heights Schools Families, Staff and Friends,  

We are pleased to present the 2019-2020 edition of “Measuring What Matters,” our annual report to the community. You will receive the publication in your mailbox later this week. Or, you can access the electronic version here.

This year’s “Measuring What Matters” documents our continued academic success, our strong financial stewardship and the wonderful work of the Shaker Schools Foundation. It tells stories about our students and staff, and contains exciting news about our fast-growing International Baccalaureate Programme, which continues to drive educational equity and excellence throughout our District. 

This year’s theme, “I Am Shaker,” reminds us that each of us, as individuals and collectively, make up our school community. We each contribute something unique to the teaching and learning in our schools. This motto echoes our District’s core values, which declare that each student is valued, every student must succeed and diversity makes us stronger.
