November 5, 2021–“The Shaker Schools Administration and the Shaker Heights Teachers’ Association strongly encourage families to consider a COVID-19 vaccination for their school-age children.
“Earlier this week, advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unanimously supported the broad use of Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine for children ages 5 to 11. This follows the decision by the District to require vaccinations for all faculty and staff members.
“Our collective efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 will help ensure a safe and healthful learning environment for students and staff, and will enable our children to continue the full, in-person learning experience that is critical to their growth and success.”
