Watch the Film, “Sankofa DNA: The Survival Success Gene” on February 26 & 27

sankofa maskFebruary 17, 2021—This year, Sankofa will present its first-ever filmed production, “Sankofa DNA: The Survival Success Gene” on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27. Sankofa is the Shaker Heights High School African-American performance group which represents our celebration of African-American history through drama, singing and dance. For more than 20 years, Sankofa has brought the community together to teach valuable facts and lessons through performance art. 

“Sankofa DNA: The Survival Success Gene” examines the theme of the Survival Success gene of African-Americans over the course of history. Tickets to watch the film are $5 each and can be purchased online

This year, Sankofa also is selling souvenir hoodies and face masks. A portion of merchandise sales proceeds will support the Aisha Fraser Fund. Hoodies are $30 and masks are $10.
