Dear Seniors and Families:

This email is to inform you about the computer-based End of Course (EOC) assessment for Government students on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. 

For information regarding this assessment, please visit the Ohio Department of Education website parent resource tab (http://education.ohio.gov/Parents). On this website you will find practice tests and additional resources about state testing in Ohio. 

Please review the following action items and policies prior to testing: 

• Arrival and On-Campus Conduct - If a student does not feel well or is exhibiting COVID-like symptoms the morning of the test, they should not report to school.  When arriving, and while on campus, all students must wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times. Failure to adhere to safety precautions and guidelines will result in being asked to leave campus. Breakfast will be available for students from 7:45 - 8:25 a.m.  While students are eating breakfast, they must remain seated in the designated areas of the cafeteria.
• Room Assignments - Students received an email with their EOC testing room assignment.
• Computer Maintenance - The District-issued chromebook must be utilized for testing and updated prior to coming to the building.  Please turn on the chromebook, turn it off, and log back in, to update. All chromebooks should be fully charged and students are encouraged to bring their charger with them the day of the exam. 
• Electronic Devices - Students will not be permitted to use any electronic devices, other than their District chromebook, during the test sessions or breaks (e.g. restroom). All other devices MUST be powered off, and stored out of site.
• Test Sessions - There are two sessions of the Government exam. Students will have 90 minutes for each session. The approximate time for both sessions of the exam will be 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Once a student has completed both sessions of the assessment they should leave campus.  
• Discussing Exam Content after Testing - Students may not discuss or reveal details about the exam content after the test. This includes any type of electronic communication such as emailing, texting, or posting online.  Doing so may invalidate test scores.
• Testing Accommodations - If a student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), a 504 Plan, or is an English Language Learner (ELL), the testing accommodations as outlined on their plans will be implemented and followed.
• Leaving Campus - Students who leave campus before completing both test sessions, may not return to complete the exam.  Once students are done with both sessions of the assessment they are expected to leave the campus. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for students to take with them.
