Ms. Tracy Williams
September 13, 2023—The District is pleased to announce that Tracy Glover Williams has been appointed Registrar. Her appointment was approved by the Board of Education Tuesday. Ms. Williams succeeds Shannise Jackson-Ndiaye, who resigned over the summer.
As Registrar, Ms. Williams will be tasked with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities that impact students and families. In addition to overseeing the registration process, these duties include enforcing District policies, including residency requirements, processing requests for intradistrict transfers and coordinating and holding student discipline hearings for recommended expulsions and parent-initiated appeals of suspensions. Other duties include working with international families to meet their unique needs, serving as the District’s foster care education liaison and the Superintendent’s designee for home school placements.
Ms. Williams has performed a variety of duties since joining the District in 2014. For eight years, she served as an administrative assistant in the High School Counseling Office, where she assisted with weekly progress reports for students, college transcripts, military recruiting and scheduled and hosted 50 or more college admissions visits annually. Ms. Williams also served as co-advisor for the High School MAC Sister Scholars program.
Most recently she has been the lead administrative assistant at Woodbury Elementary School, where she assisted the principal and staff with all aspects of building management and served on the Building Leadership Team. Before joining the District, she facilitated early literacy activities and events at Family Connections in Shaker Heights.
Ms. Williams earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
