July 3, 2023—The District is pleased to announce that Dr. Christina L. Bauer will be the District’s Director of Student Data Systems and Accountability. In that role, Dr. Bauer will oversee student data and testing. Her duties will include coordinating and managing the technology and logistical needs that support student assessment. She will also direct the activities of the Technology and Information Services Department by providing data and system support for student data management and PreK-12 instructional programs.  

 

Dr. Bauer is currently Director of Curriculum & Instruction for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. She has served CHUH in a variety of capacities since 1999, including Coordinator of Technology, Instructional Specialist and as an elementary school teacher. 

 

Dr. Bauer earned her Ph.D. in School Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. She earned an Ed.S in Educational Administration and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University. She has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Marietta College. 

 

Dr. Bauer, who will begin her new role July 10, 2023, succeeds Dr. Christopher Rateno, who has been named Superintendent of the Riverside Local School District in Lake County, effective August 1, 2023.
