We’ll be sending you regular updates during this extended closure to share any new information and to remind you about previous messages we don’t want you to have missed. Some updates will be shorter and some will be longer, but we’ll be staying in touch.

Even though our schools and offices are closed, our faculty and staff are still committed to working hard each day on behalf of every student and family.

What’s New

  • Today, the District announced the cancellation of in-building Summer Enrichment Learning and Fun (SELF) programming for Summer 2020. The decision was made necessary by the April 29 Ohio Department of Health order that requires all Ohio K-12 schools to remain closed to students through June 30. Families can expect to see full refunds to credit cards within 10 business days. Read the full announcement here.

  • We understand that many families are curious about potential changes in structure to the 2020-2021 school year. At this time, there are still many unknowns, and the District is awaiting further guidance from Governor DeWine, the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Health. We realize this makes fall planning a challenge for our families and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will share information on any changes to fall scheduling of classes as soon as additional information becomes available.

  • The Tuesday, May 12, Board of Education meeting will take place remotely. All residents may attend, either via Zoom or telephone. Residents are encouraged to submit public comments or questions regarding items on the May 12 agenda by 5 p.m. Tuesday through a comment form. Comments will be read into the record at the meeting.

Coming Up

  • This weekend, a team of volunteers will deliver the Class of 2020 community support yard signs to those who ordered them. Thank you for showing your support for our seniors!

Reminders

  • The last day of school for students in grades PreK-11 has been changed to Friday, May 29. Teachers will use Monday, June 1-Thursday, June 4 to complete activities related to closing out the school year and to help plan for the start of school in the fall. Read the complete announcement here.

  • Complete a Technology Tools Request to request a District-issued Chromebook (grade K-4) or hotspot device (grades K-12) if you do not have home internet service.

  • The District is offering online enrollment for the 2020-21 academic year. Parents and guardians may submit required forms electronically by computer or mobile phone. Learn about online enrollment.
