Dear Shaker Heights High School Families:
Effective today, the District is canceling all school-sponsored international and domestic travel through April 1. We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution and based on guidance we have received from national, state and local health officials regarding the global coronavirus pandemic.
We had delayed making this decision so that we could weigh a number of factors and make a choice in the best interest of our families. We are working with our travel providers to determine the possibility of refunds. We will share any updated information with you as soon as it becomes available.
This was not an easy decision. We considered the changing landscape of this pandemic, global travel disruptions and the increasing number of confirmed cases of coronavirus around the world. Ultimately, the safety and health of our students, chaperones and staff is our first priority.
