Ohio State Spring Testing Schedule for Grades 3 & 4

 The tests are based on Ohio’s grade-level learning standards and assess students’ language arts and math skills.  Lomond will administer Ohio’s State Tests for grades 3 & 4  from 9:30-11:00am on the dates listed in the schedule below.   The tests consist of two parts, each 90 minutes in duration as follows:

If your child has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) or a 504 plan, they are eligible to take the test with the accommodations outlined in their plan.  If you have questions about this, please contact your child’s intervention specialist or teacher.

Ohio State Tests Overview Page.   Our teachers have been practicing with students for several weeks to familiarize them and prepare them for success.  Practice tests are available here:  Sample Test Items & Practice Tests  Additionally, here are some tips for the test days:


  • Ensure that your student arrives at school on time.

  • Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep.

  • Provide a good breakfast on the days of the test.

  • Express your confidence in your child’s ability to do his/her best.

  • Avoid upsetting situations or changes in routine, if possible.
