Shaker Heights City Schools uses Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments as a measure of our students’ literacy and math skills. Lomond's winter MAP assessments will be administered as follows:
Lomond MAP Math: January 11th & 12th
Lomond MAP Reading: January 18th & 19th
2nd, 3rd & 4th grades will all test for 60 minutes during the morning on these dates .
Kindergarten & 1st grade teacher teams will determine their specific schedules.
In preparation for the upcoming MAP administration, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Ensure that your student arrives at school on time the day of the assessment.
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night before the assessment.
Provide a healthy breakfast on the day of the assessment.
Express your confidence in your child’s ability to do his/her best.
Avoid upsetting situations or changes in routine, if possible.
