Navigating the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Web Site

The upper right hand corner of the ODE website has a keyword feature. If you type in the keyword and click "search", it will pull up specific information that you may be looking for. The link below takes you to a document that lists keywords that you can enter to access ODE links to an array of information about testing. This feature can be useful to instructional staff, students and parents.

Provides online practice for math, writing, reading, citizenship and science. This site uses the Macromedia Flash player, and you'll be prompted to download it if your computer does not have this resource.

A Guide to the Ohio Graduation Tests for Students and Families (PDF)
The Ohio Department of Education produced this 24-page booklet with tips for each test area, sample questions, general test-taking tips, and Ohio graduation requirements (PDF format).

Note: You may find other sources for Ohio test practice. Be selective in using these products, as for-profit companies often do not have a full understanding of Ohio's testing program.

Preparation Offered at Shaker Heights High School for the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT)

• Prep for the Ohio Graduation Test
OGT test preparation sessions are available after school for current 10th, 11th and 12th graders who are required to pass the OGT in order to graduate. 

• Review Sessions for the Ohio Graduation Test
Instructors are available during Academic Lab, Study Center and other class periods during the day to assist students in reviewing for the OGT.

• Ongoing Opportunities for Ohio Graduation Test Prep
Students who wish to acquire extra help in reviewing for the OGT can work with their teachers during Conference Period or with a tutor in the High School Tutoring Center.

• Online Assistance for the Ohio Graduation Test
Go to studyisland.com for help in science. Students can obtain a username and password from a teacher or Mrs. Slovikovski.
