Woodbury World Records - September 28th - October 12th

Woodbury World Records - September 28th - October 12th

Woodbury World Records, Woodbury's only fundraiser, supports all PTO and many school-wide events including Artist in Residence, 6th Grade Camp Scholarships, Kids Night Out, Teacher Grants, and so much more!  Students participate in exciting record-breaking events in their PE classes, and fundraise by getting sponsorship donations which go 100% to Woodbury.  Classes have the opportunity to win fun prizes drawn from a daily raffle including pizza parties, homework passes, and swimming parties.  Every donation of $1 or more earns the class one ticket in the raffle.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate and many volunteers are still needed!  Opening Ceremonies are Friday, 9/28 at 12:45 for 5th grade and 1:45 for 6th grade.  PE events run from 10/1-10/12 and volunteers are needed in PE classes - please see the link to the Sign Up Genius below.  Closing Ceremonies, where the winning classrooms will slime Principal Young are Friday, 10/12 at 12:45 for 5th grade and 1:45 for 6th grade.

Information packets will be sent home in backpacks on Friday, September 28th after the Opening Ceremony.  Links to the documents are below.  Please contact Jen (jenjasko@hotmail.com) or Hannah (hbmendelsohn@icloud.com) if you have any questions.

Woodbury PTO

The Woodbury Parent Teacher Organization supports students, teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians of Woodbury School through educational and fundraising activities.

A Note About Lunches (and Snacks)

We know parents have concerns about the lunches offered at Woodbury. Click here to view the Ohio Board of Education's School Lunch information page (including a contact to call with questions).
It is difficult to control the choices our children make for lunch but now is the time to educate about the right choices and the wrong choices in more ways than one, food being a part that education. Click here to view the state guidelines for smart snacks, a lot of these are based on the calories required.

Earn Money for Woodbury When You Shop for Groceries

Did you know you can earn money for Woodbury School when you shop at Heinen's and Giant Eagle? Here's how.
Heinen's Tasteful Rewards Program: If you shop at Heinen's make sure Woodbury is getting your rewards benefit. Please select Woodbury Elementary in your Rewards account and purchases all the way back to September 1 will count, as long as you register by April. Remember you can ask friends and family to do the same.

The money that the PTO earns from Heinen's comes right back into our school and enriches the learning environment!

Here's how to sign up: If you have a Heinen's Reward card, click here now to sign up. Click on "My profile" (just below the top of the page). Scroll to the bottom, select Shaker Heights Middle School and save the changes. Or register at the service counter at any Heinen's. Let's keep increasing our donation to the Woodbury PTO. Pass it on!
