1:1 Chromebook Distribution for Grades 5-12

August 5, 2019—This fall, all students in Grades 5-12 will receive free Chromebooks for school and home use. We encourage families and students in Grades 5-12 to visit the 1:1 Chromebook FAQ, where you’ll find information on the optional $25 One2One Protection Plan, repairs, Internet filtering and more. If you have a question that is not answered in the FAQ, please submit it using our 1:1 Chromebook Question Form. We will review all questions and share responses, when appropriate, on the FAQ.

Also, all families with students in Grades 5-12 should review the 1:1 Chromebook Handbook together to learn about:

  • General Device Information

  • Chromebook use information

  • Student Chromebook Responsibilities

  • 1:1 Responsible Use

  • Student Chromebook Contract

Distribution of Chromebooks varies by building:

  • Woodbury students will receive Chromebooks and carrying cases during the school day in the first week of school. Mr. Bednar or Mr. Kaminski will distribute these devices by homeroom, and they will also review the policies and procedures for the proper use of Chromebooks with each homeroom during this time.

  • Middle School students can pick up Chromebooks at one of three pick-up sessions from the Middle School Library. A parent/guardian must be present. Staff members will be on-site to answer questions, direct parents/guardians to the acceptable use policy and provide families with an opportunity to pay the optional One2One Protection Plan in PayForIt. Pick up times by grade, are as follows:

    • Monday, August 5, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.: Grade 7 students only

    • Tuesday, August 6, 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: Grade 7 and Grade 8

    • Wednesday, August 7, 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.: Grade 8 students

  • High School student distribution varies by grade. Freshmen will receive Chromebooks at Freshman Orientation/Textbook Pickup. Students in Grades 10-12 will receive Chromebooks during the first three days of school.
