The Shaker Swimming and Diving program will be sending 3 Raiders to this week's State Championships as two-time defending State Diving Champ Lyle Yost makes his 4th straight state appearance. Chachi Gustafson will make his 3rd trip to States and Ezra Dykema will make is 1st State championship appearance.
Yost won his 4th straight Northeast District Championship at Cleveland State last week to advance to States where he will look to win his 3rd straight State title. Gustafson qualfied for States by placing 4th in the 100 meter butterfly at CSU and will be making his 3rd state championship appearance where he finished 2nd last year in the 100 butterfly. Ezra Dykema fisnished 9th in the diving competition at CSU to qualify for his 1st State championship appearance.
The OHSAA State Swimming & Diving Championships will take place February 21st, 22nd & 23rd at the C. T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH.
