Boys XC takes 1st at Hawken Invitational
The Shaker Boys won the inaugural Hawken Invitational Saturday in dominating fashion, taking first place in the field of 8. With 107 runners in the race, nine of the first 12 finishers were from the Raiders, including Sophomore DeAndre Hall who led the field! Junior Vivek DiVakarla was third, sophomore Ben Cox was fourth, and senior Zak Reape was fifth as Shaker outdistanced their closest competitor by 55 points. Runners of the meet were Hall and sophomore David Verhage whose 9th place overall finish earned him a spot in the varsity lineup next week at Avon Lake.
