More Than 150 Attend SGORR Rapid Response Community Forum
November 13, 2018—On Tuesday night, more than 150 students and community members joined the High School Student Group on Race Relations (SGORR) for the Rapid Response Community Forum, which took place in the High School upper cafeteria. The attendees broke into smaller groups to discuss race and bias in Shaker Heights and to take notes on issues raised. Each group then posted their takeaways during a "gallery walk" so that all participants could review each group's discussion.

The SGORR event—created to begin the conversation on how the Shaker Schools community moves forward, how we build stronger connections with each other and how we listen and engage with High School stakeholders—was a model for civil discourse.
