Shaker Speaks: A series of intimate conversations with unique Shaker voices
Each Shaker Speaks event features Shaker alumni who will share their insights and invite participants to listen, learn, discuss and connect about the issues and ideas. Proceeds from the event support the Shaker Schools Foundation. Tickets are $50 /person; limit 50 attendees.

Andrew Sords, SHHS Class of ‘03, Thursday, April 19th,  7pm, Hosted by Amy and Marc Morgenstern (SHHS Class of ‘68)
World-renowned violinist Andrew Sords will discuss his career in the arts, his ties to the Shaker Heights community, his philanthropic endeavors and his plan to return to Shaker to make it his home base. A former pupil of David Cerone at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Andrew has appeared as a soloist with celebrated conductors and orchestras throughout the world. He will entertain the audience with a few brief selections from his repertoire. 
 
 
Zack Bruell, SHHS ‘71 and Julian Bruell, SHHS ‘08, Monday, May 7th, 7 pm, Hosted by Maia Hansen
Renowned restaurateurs Zack and Julian Bruell will discuss their involvement in the Cleveland food scene and provide culinary treats to delight the palate. Zack is founder, proprietor, and head chef of The Zack Bruell Restaurant Group, which includes Parallax Restaurant and Lounge, L’Albatros Brasserie + Bar, Table 45, Chinato Ristorante, Cowell & Hubbard, and Alley Cat Oyster Bar, among others.

After several years managing restaurants in New York City, Julian recently returned to Cleveland as Director of Service for the Zack Bruell Restaurant Group.
