Christopher J. Rateno Named Director of Student Data Systems and Accountability
Chris CatenoChristopher Rateno, M.Ed., has been named the District's Director of Student Data Systems and Accountability. Rateno will be responsible for District-wide research and accountability, data supervision and coordination of EMIS data.

Since 2009, Rateno has been principal at LaMuth Middle School at Riverside Local Schools in Painesville Township. There, he was the educational leader for 770 sixth- and seventh-grade students and 65 staff members. He also created and chaired a district-level technology committee, which was responsible for developing a vision and mission statement for educational technology, professional development and future implementation, and planned and facilitated equity training for the district. Rateno also has served as the Riverside Campus Associate Principal, Crestwood High School Assistant Principal (Mantua, OH) and a science teacher at Nordonia High School.

Rateno earned a B.S in Biology from John Carroll University and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Youngstown State University.
