Testing Schedule for Mercer Elementary
Spring state testing will begin on Tuesday, March 14 and continue through Wednesday, April 26 with the American Institute for Research (AIR) assessment. Testing for 3rd grade will be in the areas of English Language Arts and Math and 4th graders will be tested in English Language Arts, Math and Social Studies. Each test consists of two sections.

AIR assessments are computer based and will take place in the computer Lab using desktop computers or in classrooms using Chromebook devices.
The testing schedule will overlap with Passover. We are aware that the first and last two days of Passover are considered holy days in the Jewish calendar. We in the Shaker Schools strive to respect and honor the holidays of all religions. Unfortunately, we have no power over the state testing schedule. However, if you are Jewish and wish your child to refrain from testing on any of these days, make-up testing is available. Please notify Mr. Florence and your child's testing schedule will be adjusted.
In addition to getting plenty of rest and eating a nutritious breakfast on test days, students should arrive at school on time ready to do their very best without rushing through the assessments. If possible, please refrain from having out of school appointments during your child’s scheduled testing period. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
