Learn More about School Board Candidates
October 2, 2017—Election Day is just over a month away on November 7. Familiarize yourself with the Shaker Heights Board of Education and its role in the October 2017 Shaker Connection, which includes a School Board 101 news item, and then watch the League of Women Voter's candidate forum to get to know the School Board candidates. The City Council candidate forum is first, followed by the School Board candidate forum at 47 minutes.
An additional candidate forum is scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, at 7 p.m. in the Shaker Heights High School Small Auditorium. This event is co-sponsored by Impact Shaker, the Lomond, Ludlow, Moreland and Onaway Community Associations, PTO Council, SHHS PTO, SOARR, and by student organizations, The Shakerite and SHHS NAACP.
