At the request of the Ohio Department of Education, the District will be testing the technology infrastructure that will be used later in the year for state-mandated assessments. On January 29, all 4th graders and a handful of classes in grades 6, 8, and High School will take a brief online practice test, lasting no more than 30 minutes.
These tests will not be scored. The only purposes are to:
- ensure that our computers and systems are ready;
- acquaint the staff with the process;
- give students a chance to become familiar with the way the tests are administered.
We anticipate that this infrastructure test will help us work out any technical issues so that state-mandated testing goes smoothly for all students when it begins in February.
Further information about the District's testing program, including a schedule, may be found on our Testing webpage.
