Shaker Advances to Final Four in Columbus

DISTRICT FINAL GAME

Shaker Heights' field hockey team won the OHSAA Gates Mills District championship on Saturday by defeating Toledo Maumee Valley Country Day, 5-0, on Saturday, October 25th at Hawken.

The Raiders will advance to the state final four for the second year in a row.

Haley Brady had three goals for Shaker Heights, and Kasidy Anderson had two goals. Audrey Anderle made two shutouts in goal for the Raiders.

Shaker Heights went to the state final four last year, but lost to Thomas Worthington in the state semifinal, 2-1. They will play Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame on Friday in the state semifinal at Upper Arlington.
