October 28, 2019—Please note that all schools will be closed to students on Election Day, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 as many of our buildings are polling locations. The District also will utilize this day as a professional in-service day for staff. In making this decision, the Board has considered student and staff safety, as well as limited parking at buildings.
Families with students in Grades K-6, please note: The District has confirmed with the City of Shaker Heights Recreation Department that the Fundaze program will be offered on March 17. Stay tuned to Fundaze on the City’s website for registration information.
For your convenience, please note that all buildings are closed to students on the following remaining days of the 2019-2020 school year:
- November 5: Election Day
- November 25-29: Thanksgiving Break
- December 23-January 3: Winter Break
- January 17: Professional Day
- January 20: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- February 17: Presidents’ Day
- February 28: Professional Day/Conference Day
- March 17: Election Day
- March 23-27: Spring Break
- April 10: Good Friday
- May 25: Memorial Day
