Dear Shaker Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are relaxed, recharged and ready to begin the best school year ever!
I am excited and optimistic about the year ahead of us. Our staff has been working very hard to ensure that your student’s experience is a great one, beginning on the very first day of school. This includes everything from getting our buildings and classrooms ready, to preparing lessons that will engage all of our students in exciting learning experiences. Thank you to everyone who has worked hard over the summer so that we are prepared for tomorrow and the upcoming school year.
Our motto this year is “I AM SHAKER.” This phrase echoes our core values, which declare that each student is valued, every student must succeed and diversity makes us stronger.
At our Convocation ceremony last week, our entire staff wore red “I AM SHAKER” t-shirts to demonstrate their commitment to this mission. Since then, many community members have inquired about purchasing an “I AM SHAKER” t-shirt for themselves and their family members. We are pleased to announce that these limited edition shirts can now be ordered online. They are available in both youth and adults sizes and can be shipped to your home for a small fee, or shipped free for pickup at the Administration Building. In the future, the shirts will be available at the Shaker Shop.
